yeah the manual is a 6 spd while the automatic is a 5 spd

IMHO....you just CAN NOT find a better sports car on the market dollar for dollar than the C5 Z06 or the new C6 Vette. GM has REALLY come a long way with this platform!

I disagree. I'm with JP4 100%. The C6 is exceptional value! What other car can keep up with a Modena 360 (street OR track) and have power everything AND be priced UNDER 50K?!? With a Cobra (I assume you mean Ford Mustang and not the kit cars) you get kinda close but no cigar. And not that the Corvette is high end but the quality of the Mustang CAN NOT be compared. Hope you're not a ford guy:D

I really like the new Vette.Looks very dynamic and fresh.To be honest I never was a fan of US cars,so please do tell on the tech side of the story.R they using a new engine and if anyone has driven one how does it feel?With such price I could really go for convertible one in red or yellow.

Exactly. Wasn't trying to come off as a Ford basher just that the styling and everything else is so much better (subjective I know.) Look at Ford. With the all new Mustang they had to totally rape and pillage the old looks (same with the Ford GT). With Chevy they're able to take chances (progressive more modern design) with a classic without making it look like a modern version of a 54.

Just my 2 pennies.

The C5R is such a successful program that it's hard to imagine them improving with the new car. If that is the case then it will be another Corvette win at Le Mans for sure.
