Much more extensive mods than last years championship winning car. Now they even have a carbon dash where last years was stock.

Hey those pics looks familiar :-)

I'm planning on heading out this Friday during their practice and get a few good photos... hopefully it doesn't rain (as it is right now), well, if it does rain then it's good for the RS6 but not for me!

You can pull the larger 1024x768 images from below. When you first click on the image you get the smaller one then click on it again to get the larger one.

i love seeing them on tv.

does anybody know exactly how fast these beasts accel from

0-100kmh?

0-200kmh?

cool pics.
what exactly is that tray looking part on the engine?

Tanner

0-60mph in 2.7 seconds. This is done by launching fairly low in the revs as some of us thought it was like rev to 5000RPM and dump the clutch. First gear is only good for a second or so at most then you gotta shift into second!

That big black thing is the air intake. I didn't get a shot of the hood when it was up but they have a scoop that pulls air in from the front grill and it's fed right into the engine. They have additional venting in the hood to draw heat away from the engine compartment and they said that these minor improvements have helped the engine breath better.

A few more but this time from the other Pfaff dealership, with the Alex Job Racing team. I know there are a few Porsche drivers around rs6.com.

horsepower ?

2.7 second was the best launch ever and it was done by Galati. As for the power, they obviously don't want to disclose it but believe early in the year it may have been around 525hp but now with the air restrictor and boost changes, it's around 500hp.

I'm heading to MOsport today to catch the cars practicing so hopefully I'll get great photos.

Got some really close shots on turn one when we walked past the fence so I was able to get a bunch of shots before the marshall asked me for my photo pass/credentials, which obviously does not exist :-( SPent most of the time on turn 5 after we got booted..... gonna take more tomorrow around turn 8/9 tomorrow and some of the infield.

The difference between a pro and me is that the pro can shoot consistently no matter what conditions. I had a hard time getting a good shot yesterday - maybe it was me wanting to watch the race, a bunch of friend saround me, or just shooting in the sun this time around, while the other two days were purely for photoing.

Still got some decent photos yesterday though I never got to 8/9 because of the crowds and went back to turn 5 again. Anyways, below is a link to all of my photos related to the race so enjoy!

VERY NICE!!!!! I ALSO TOUCHED ONE OF THE CHAMPION RS6s, GALATI AND POBST WERE IN MY CITY FOR THE GRAND OPENING OF A NEW CERTIFIED-PRE OWNED AUDI CENTER. THEY GAVE A SPEECH ABOUT CHAMPION RACING THIS SEASON AND THEY SIGNED AUTOGRAPHS. JJ LEHTO'S AUDI R8 WAS ALSO THERE BUT TOO BAD JJ LEHTO WASNT.. IT WAS A GREAT TIME:0: :applause:

The R8 that they used is only a full size model, but regardless it's still pretty impressive. A few years ago they had the Joest R8 there, and it was the real deal. The had the covers off so you could see everything from the suspension to those massive turbochargers. The one they had at that time may have had FSI but it wasn't "mentioned".

Randy's a great guy as mentioned - if anybody gets the chance to talk to Randy, do so.
