I have had my RS6 for two weeks. Am considering a clear bra. Would appreciate comments from those who have used them.

The best time to do this is when car is new, like yours, before problems arise from having to fix or cover scratches or nicks. Scroll down here and you'll find links for clearbra and others:

I had a 2000 A6 4.2 that had headlight protection only. Boy....do I regret that. After 57,000 miles the front end was basically a sand blasted mess. Headlights were well protected.

I had the clear bra installed on my RS6 when new and do not regret it at all. Cost is worth it IMO if you're anal at all about your car like I am. If you do it, be sure to find a good installer. I can do the headlights pretty easily myself but the paint protection is not a DIY project IMHO. It takes a LOT of patience and know-how to do it right.

If you want to see/not-see my installation, look at the pictures of my car at the Mid-Ohio school that Erik posted.

Clear Bra Treatment Thread

Here is a thread from last summer. Since then I have learned there are other suppliers of kits but they don't necessarily have many trained installers. So, they recommend you go to the XPel site, enter your ZIP code and look for an installer in your area.

I am very pleased with the XPel kit and other custom applications I had done on my car last August! Bauer had his car done using the same installer and XPel kit a few days later and we're both very pleased. Worth the money, IMHO!

Just going along with what Jimmy has already posted. I used a different installer (Sothern California) but am pleased as well that I chose to have it installed on my Beast. Had a couple of good sized pebbles and road debri kick up at the front end but nothing has penetrated the invisible barrier to date!

I got the clear bra - love it. Had it installed on the leading 4 inches (or so) of the hood, plus the full front bumper, headlights, and side sills (or whatever they are called). Very important to have it done by a quality detailer.

There is clear bra on my beast, and you can't see it on this pix.
