Uploading photos guide (http://www.rs6.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=30909#post30909)

-----------------------------------

There are a few different ways of adding a picture in your post.

1) RS6.com Gallery (http://www.rs6.com/gallery/)

All members at RS6.com get 2Mb total disk space.
Upload file size limit is 200 KB per picture.
The gallery incorporates a search function. The better you describe your picture (model, color, mods, rims etc.) the easier it will be to find in the future.

Upload Photo Function (http://www.rs6.com/gallery/uploadphoto.php)

Please do not upload pictures that are copyright or don't belong here.

2) Attach picture in post

Whenever you are about to post a reply or a new post you can find the prompt "Attach file:"
Maximum picture size is: 152 Kb. The picture should be in jpg format. Maximum image size: 1000 x 800 pixles

You can only attach one picture per post.

3) Making the picture show in you post

So you have now found a picture on the Internet or uploaded it into the RS6.com Gallery and want the picture to be seen in your post.

Let's say this is the picture you want to display.
http://www.rs6.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/787/password//sort/1/cat/524/page/5

You then "right click" check "properties" and mark and copy + paste (Ctrl+C) the name of the link. In this case:

Back in posting mode (like post reply etc.) press the "IMG" (image) button and paste (Ctrl+P) the link into the script.

The result can be seen below.

4) So you think 150 - 200KB is to small?
Well I wish I could give everybody unlimited hard drive and bandwidth space but it's not possible.
To make your picture smaller there are several programs that can help you modify your picture with "Save for web" features.
Some examples:
ACDSee (http://www.acdsystems.com)
Adobe Photoshop (http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/main.html)
Freeware at Download.com (http://www.download.com)

I hope my guide helps! Looking forward to see your pictures!
