Hi all:

Just installed a set of Sportec Mono 10 Anthracite and Hella smoked lights. I think it makes the car a lot more sporty.

What do you all think?

18x8.5 ET35 - added 5mm spacer to make it ET30.

For comparison - stock. Funny how in certain light, Avus silver can look silver, and in some light, it looks blue....

Very nice! I like it. The Sportec rims are fantastic.

I love my RS6 - I drive it more than my 996TT. Once I upgrade the RS6 ECU to 520hp, it'll be perfect.

Looks good. I like it.

The lights and rims make the difference like night and day. :D

I wish the pix were better, but overall, the setup looks mighty fine.

I really like the sportec wheels ... really opens up the wheel well and makes the car look more sporty ... I am considering 19" sportecs for my ebony ... debating on anthracite ... some black (ish) cars look good with dark wheels and some don't ... Opinions ?

I don't really care for the smoked lens ... but you certainly have a sweet ride. :applause: Made even sweeter with a few more horses.

 I need a little help here folks. I thought adding a 5mm spacer changed the ET to 40 in this case. Am I missing something?

:vhmmm:

Hi:

Nope, it's the reverse. The higher the offset, the further in the wheel sits.

By adding 5mm spacers, you bring the wheel back out.

ET30 stock.

ET25 - wheel sits 5mm further out

ET40 - wheel sits 5mm further in

My BAD....I was thinking the RS6 had a negative offset instead of a positive offset which is actually the case.

Very Nice photos, looks like Stanley Park perhaps?

Vancouver was absolutely beautiful when I visited there in March...

I have a Silver one, too and had been hesitating because was wondering if the smoked look would not fit well with the silver.

Glad you put out the pics!

Where to get those nice taillights, however is the next bit.

Thanks!

Glad you liked Vancouver. I agree, it's a beautiful city ;)

I am 50/50 on the Sportecs. In certain light, I thinkg it's great but in other instances, stock looks better. I'll probably use the Sportecs for my winter wheels, and go back to stock 18's for summer.

I've got some better pics - scroll down and look for "Better pics - RS6 mods"

AWE-tuning sells the smoked Hella lights.

Good luck.
