I am surprised nobody has mentionned yet the Le Mans Classic Event. It is taking place on the Grand Le Mans Race track (14 kilometers as the 24 hours race) next week.

As of today, there are more than 6000 cars registered for this 3 days event. 6000 cars in the paddock and clubs area. It doesn't not include the visitors's cars ! ! !

Cars which participated to the 24 hours of Le Mans 24 hours race from 1923 to 1980 will run again on the same track. The cars will be splitted into groups and will ran on the track 1 hour at a time. Races will be non stop the whole week end.

I attended last year as part of the french Audi Club and it was one of the best event I attended in my life. This is more impressive that Monterey Historic at Laguna Seca where I went in 1998 and 1999.

Anyway this year, I am going but as part of the staff. I will be volunteer in the paddock area.

Cheers,
Frederic
