Does anybody know: is it possible to get a similar option in an Audi?

What's the best way of iPodding my car?

Found this:

I purchased the ICE>Link, never installed it though because I discovered, after the fact, that with XM/Sirus radio, it's an either or situation.

Check out this old thread about ICELink (http://www2.rs6.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3582&highlight=ICELink).

It's not as cool as the BMW solution promises to be since it doesn't display track metadata but it works fine otherwise. I have all my music in the car now so I'm happy, and I'm busy putting ICELinks in all my other vehicles.

I had the impression that the ICE Link hooked in instead of the CD box or PHatbox.. Is it true that if I have XFM that I have to get rid of that to get the ICELink to work?

I think it would be cool to get the ICELink with the smaller IPOD Silver one.. (too bad they don't make it black)..

I'm bummed about that news about XFM or ICELink.. can you confirm that?

It's my understanding that the ICELink uses the connector that the CD changer uses--would use--in the back of the headunit.

From the ICELink website:

Not compatible with factory XM module

Now I'm in a quandry....

Jukebox (IPOD) or XFM... Not a good choice to have to make.. both would be way better....

I kinda recall someone posting once on AudiWorld that they fashioned some sort of passive switch that allowed him to change the source of input on the headunit.

you can wire them together and lose some dB. you can fabricate a switch for the wiring harness... but then you have two switches (head unit and your switch).
