That level of stocking is normal for an Audi Zentrum in Germany.

In general, you do not buy a car off the showroom floor in Germany. You go to the dealer, look at everything, and then you order EXACTLY what you want. If you want something special you will probably go to Neckarsulm or Ingolstadt and sit down in the quattro atelier to select the leathers, wood trim etc.

So the dealers do not carry a lot of stock, just samples. Of course you can buy off the floor, but mostly thats for lottery winners. Interestingly, at the big dealers, the best salesmen will spend their time at customer sites, looking after fleet sales. Just because you get a company car, it doesn't mean you have to accept a lousy equiment level. There are downsides, to the company car, you get assessed for a very high tax benefit, last time I check it was 1 % of cost per month.

Pictures don't do this car's styling, both interior and exterior any justice, it's far better in person.

These are just hitting British shores and our local Audi dealership has one in black on the showroom floor, there's also the advertisements on TV for it, with the car driving through pilons at a petrol station forecourt.

I hope that is the 6 cylinder version and not the v8. The A6 with the v8 and pumped guards looked the business. That looks gay, side on.
