Are there any laws about parking next to those fire hydrants?
Technically - We don't have fire hydrants here, but man hole covers in the footpaths that are connected to the water board system, clearly marked "Fire Hydrant"and the covers are painted yellow.

Yes there is a law and a red stripe that says you can not and should not park in front of a fire hydrant.
