RS6 vs. 911 Turbo

The Audi RS6 versus the Porsche 911.
Of course to the 911 is quicker, but it's surprising it takes a Turbo to beat an automatic family car.
Up to 120 km/h they're almost equal, after that I guess the quattro and the weight of the RS6 is just too much for it too keep up.
Who would have guessed a family car could perfom like this a few years back?

Great article apart from the fact that they got all the history wrong. The Porsche-built Audi was an RS2 not an S2 and the V6 Biturbo was an RS4 not an S4. :error:

Now I tend to stay with daytona grey again :)

eh?.. the S4 was 2.7l Twin turbo.. same as the RS4.. but only 260bhp as opposed to 380bhp.

Imagine comparing the RS6 to a 911 Turbo... magic.. just to even think they come close.. if I didn't have my family I'd be in a 911 turbo.. but the RS6 suits just fine at the moment :D

Right, now that you mention it. I even had one and and both turbochargers had to be replaced over time. Nevertheless I didn't really remember. *blush* (where's the blushing smiley?)

But they did mention the S4 had 380bhp too! :trash:

makes it all the more easy to convince the mrs. that the
car's worth the price. let's face it. 90% the performance for
nearly $40,000 less. throw in to boot the fact that it seats
four people in comfort and has a real trunk and you got
yourself a no brainer:bow:
