My son asked me what "RS" stands for.. I believe its Rally Sport, but that really makes no sense since this isnt a rally car and also its German.. so I made up something like
"Reichsgevalt Schveinhundt" and told him it means Faster than Hell in German..
Anyone here REALLY know?

RS= "Renn Sport", which translates (loosely, but correctly, in this case) as "Race Sport".

Makes perfect sense, no?

Enjoy your car!

just have to post it - as my German is little rusty I've asked good friend on mine from Austria (living near Frankfurt) for correct "translation":

Reichsgewalt:
Power of the state(Reich=old word for state/country, I guess this would be what we call the "Executive power" nowadays

Schweinehund:
Directly translated it means Pig-Dog. This is a cursing word used for someone who is real bad, cheating, mean, etc.

So the two words together do not make much sense other than that some of our politicians respectively their Executors are real assholes also....... .......... :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: ..............

this sounds so familiar ....

google says...

"renn sport"or "rennsport sport" (german for "rally sport" or "sport racing")

at least that applies to Porsche RS, and perhaps Audi as well.
