Hi everyone! This is a great forum with a refreshing, international perspective, and I've learned a lot by lurking while my 2004 RS6 was being built.

I've recently taken delivery of my Beast and I must say I'm very impressed. It's a replacement for my 330i as a daily driver, and of course, it's in a whole different class in terms of power and torque. What has really surprised me is that the ride quality is better in the RS6 than in the 330i. There is also less understeer - certainly not what all the magazine reviews led me to believe.

Here's some pix. I'm looking forward to when the RS6 is properly broken-in! :addict:

Now that IS surprising regarding the understeer, especially with the 50/50 weight distribution of the 330i versus our front heavy RS6. Nevertheless, the more I get to understand the driving dynamics of the RS6, the more I love it. The first time I took it on the track, I hated it. I thought it was too heavy and plowed too much. Now with four track days under my belt, I'm smitten. There is just something about taking a 2-ton car to the track... and keeping up with a lot of cars we should have no business keeping up with.

Back to the understeer topic, has anyone had their Hotchkiss sway bars installed yet? I am really curious to see how much understeer is dialed out.

Welcome to the board!

Welcome and congrats on the new Beast...I think you are the first Canadian member and owner...we have other members just not owners. ENJOY!!!!!

I got them but not installed. Waiting for Hotckiss to make the right bracket for the rear bars so there is not cut and paste. Speed Technik said it works with out the bracket you just have to cut the bracket which I do not want to. So wait I will. Will let you know the out come once the proper hardware is here.
