Hi Guys,
now after 600km with the Beast i can give you just my Opinion.
About 1+1/2 Year ago i had a little Trip with the RS6, now there is my RS4 3 Years old, and im looking for the car after.
So ive gone to my dealer and asked about a 2 day Trip with the Beast and to compare.
Wednesday it stoud there:
Daytona Grey Avant with Sport Exhaust and Sport Susp.
He gave me the key, and what should i say, first Impression....
Sound is impressive. :-)
Than ive gone and 5min later the Police caught me +25km/h to quick ... s****.
But ok, i said the guy im on a testtrip since 5 min... i paid and gone.
So gone to the Highway and tried the limiter. 275km/h just like my RS4 was in stock times.
Now my opinion on the car compared to the RS4.
Pros:
- Great Sound
- Suspension is really great
- ESP is much better than from RS4 not so aggressiv, much smoother.
- Breaks are very good, much less fading than my RS4, but maybe this comes from the km on the RS4
and some more less differences...
now to the Cons:
- Fuel consumption. not less than 19l/100km.
- the automatic transmission.
Or in other words... there is missing a gear between 4th and 5fth.
until 230km/h the 4th is good and than, the car gives 5th.
Maybe not interesting for the US but very necessary for German Autobahn.
We tried together (friend of mine) in my RS4 (chipped 560Nm 420PS).
until 200km/h very similar. but from 200 up. the RS4 goes in front.
not massiv, but 5-8 car length until 250.....
this is not a hughe difference.
But ok, when you give a chip to the RS6 there shouldnt be a chance for the RS4.....
My overall impression.... a great car. Less "sporty" than the RS4.
A bit like the AMGs.
Would the guys from Audi give it a manual gearbox, there wouldnt be a Con to change to the beast.
I ve to think about it some days....
