Hello all,

Of course its still friken snowing here...

I had to put my snows back on last night since the friken highway department did not plow or salt all day....

Anyway, I noticed to my chagrin that I had a friken NAIL in my tire...summer tire, not snow, and of course will need to repair or replace the tire.

What's the current thinking on Tire Repair? Patch on the inside and have them scratch the living shit out of the rim, or plug from the outside?

I am tempted to just buy another complete set of tires and wheels, less hassle LOL, just kidding....

Any thoughts? Thanks for the help.

If I lived in a snowy area that is exactly what I would do, it would be a lot easier.

I would patch it from the inside as the plug types are not as good. Also with a car as heavy as the the RS6 I think it would be a good idea to use the best type of patch.

Call around to the independent tire guys in your area - the fanatics tend to work there. We've got a racetrack nearby (Sears Point) and we've got technicians at the shop that work at the track for various local teams.
