But what if this were true. Would it change your decision to purchase an Audi next time round?:vgrumpy:

It depends on how they would look.

I would have a sniper team take him out! He already destroyed BMW for me, I would be damned if he does it to Audi as well. :w:

That's the worst news I've ever heard in this forum.

Nene, I stepped in it too. :puke:
My first thought was "What in the he!!'s going on here?" followed by "Well, my last Audi is sitting in my garage."

...and that's why you always read the story that follows the headline...

I had four BMW's: 91 318i, 94 325is, 99 540iT, 01 330Xi AND then he touched the five series........I ran to Audi.......there was no stopping me.
I do like the Z4, the 7 is growing on me and I would take the new M5:hihi: BUT it sure would stink in the snow :snow:

Thing is...a car like the Z4 can look a bit strange and bizarre. It helps sales, those buyers want to stand out.
If you ask me, the S4 Cab is just too :boring: in my eyes.

But a car like the 3, 5 and 7-series? No way! It has to be "perfect!"

But who knows, perhaps Mr. Bangle will be considered a genius in the future as style changes... :vhmmm:
Just think 5-series style after one face-lift. (or two) :hihi:

Wow! I had no idea that my little "joke" would cause such an intense response. I agree with every comment you guys have made, but what's amazing is that BMW has been so deaf to criticism for so long.

Now we have Walter Da Silva, who recently moved to Audi from SEAT, and I've hear quite a lot of criticism about the new grille. Having seen it in the flash at this year's Geneva Motorshow, it doesn't look so bad IMHO. Moreover, the overall effect of the Novolari and Le Mans models, that illustrate the direction in which Audi is moving, look much more considered and distinguished than Bangle's early show cars: the X coupe and Z9. Let's hope Audi's wonderfully minimalistic design language is not lost to progress.

Happy April 1st!!!!!

Bangle's designs is the very reason why I left the BMW scene. Performance is important, but aesthetics are equally important. Too bad for the bimmers. I wonder how their sales is doing this year with all those ugly looking cars.
