I don't know about you Erik, but regardless of whether there's 12 or 13 of them, they all look like ex-cons!!!
None of them are invited to the party!!!

So my answer = 0 (zero, goose egg)!

(Yeah, you got it, 12.50 is correct. )

But hey, I think nene is spot on...:trash:

It's recurring:

12.55555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555 55555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555 55555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555 55555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555 55555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555 55555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555 5555555555555555555555555555555555555555........

You get the idea, I couldn't find a raised dot that signifies this(?).

For the way my mind works, twelve and a half is 12.55555r

hahaha. Not exactly.

Think of it like this:

The optimist says the glass is half full while the pessimist says the glass is half empty. It's technically the same answer but from two different views. ;)

If the answer is 12.50 then that's wrong to me since the zero has to be included, so in fact 12.50 is lower than half, we all agree that zero is of lower value than five and in fact five is dead on half?

The zero hasn't been taken into consideration, within the equation but it is clearly displayed.

So, the odd guy/gal in the pic, you just keep halving it until there is no more of it left?
Damn that is some serious sickness....!

The half-life of a human being!

hahaha...Surprised?

So, what's the answer, Erik?

I get the feeling it's a trick question, and the answer is something totally different, because you can't get a half person in practice.

First, I think the whole thing was ment as a joke by Erik.

Second, I'm sorry but your not quite right Klint, that will get you no where in the math world. :p

The more numbers after the coma, the more precise the number is. 12.5 is 25 divided in two, right? That could be written as 12.50 and with a endless amount of zeros after the 5.
12.55 is in fact more then half of 25, because 12.55*2 = 25.1
Get my point now? Therefore, nothing but 0.5 or 0.50 or 0.500 and so on can be considered as a half. Another example:
0.555+0.555 is not equal to 1, but to 1.110.
But then again, 0.500+0.500 = 1.00

:deal:

Looks I have to hand over the "Klint rulez" and the "WOW! You go Klint!!!" over to Snow on this one.
