Ok guys, I've had this baby :rs6kiss: now for 2k miles and just noticed I am developing a quirk and was wondering if it's just me or is it something about the vehicle?? Here's my story:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I open the car door,
I sit in the driver seat, door still open
I flip the switchblade key open and insert in ignition,
and I fire my beast up.......
then I listen for a maybe five seconds to that oh so sweet purr,
and THEN I close the door.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have NEVER done that on ANY other car I have owned, from my 1970 Firebird to my 1995 911.

Do I need psychological help?

Open the window if you go through an underpass, or past a solid wall and give it a lot of throttle in tip mode at low revs. Very nice.

And if you trust anyone enough, have them drive it past you at about 50mph and boot it just before they reach you - an RS 6 driveby at full chat sounds fantastic!

Since we're playing "True Confessions" here, I'll come clean.

The last couple of times I pulled into a valet parking area, and there were people there waiting for their cars and checking out mine, I've tapped the accelerator just to make her roar one time before shutting her down.

:rs6kiss: I guess that would make this a "support group" then. And there's no doubt in my mind that the only cure for us is more therapy in the form of "seat time" behind the wheel of "The Beast". What do you think? I'm kind of hoping that this "disease" is terminal! :rs6kiss:

I about wet myself when I heard the mechanic drive it into the mechanic's bay the other day. Was that really my car? Yes it was.

For those of you in the Bay Area. I highly reccomend going through the Caldocot Tunnle late at night. Open the windows and don't forget the sunroof. Make sure the roads clear and then floor it.

The sound is intoxicating.

At Laguna Seca I had several people come up to me to comment on the sound comming down the straight.

I think the sound of the exhaust and turbos spooling up is the only therapy I need.

I hear you loud and clear. When I drop off my beast at my garage here in NYC, I find myself waiting until the attendant gets in and cranks her up again - I love to hear the car roar, and I also love watching her move from the vantage point outside the car.

Do you think I'm losing my mind?

During the 1st NE Meet, one of the memorable sights was looking in my rear view mirror and seeing Nene's Beast! It's a perspective we don't often get.

I had a similar experience last fall at a BMW driving school that I took "The Beast" to at Gateway Intl Raceway. It was raining pretty hard and ALL of the BMW's, Porsche's, Vette's etc, were pulling over to let me pass. A few of the guys came up to me afterwards and commented on how good the car sounded as it blew by them. Geez this car is REALLY something! :brag: :incar:

nyrs6 is right there is no cure.

My first comment on this car was that it comes with it's own sound track!
