I have to confess, the new A6 style is starting to grow on me. Its simply an evolution of prior design, looks very upscale and harmonious - even the big open grill! I'm looking forward to seeing it in person at the NY Auto show.

Does the S-Line A6 diagonal front picture looks too much like a Chrysler Concorde or is it just me?

I totally dig the new A6,...even more so in the S-Line trim.

It was just funny when I looked at it, and I thought that if Chrysler had done their Concorde the right way, it would have looked a bit more like our new A6...!!!

I know it's not a comparison in any way on other parts of the car though.
I really can't wait to see the new A6 on the road.

I think Audis design progressions is much more attractive and fluid then BMW's.

Truefully, I think the standard out going A6 body was just ok (RS6 is a different story). I do however think the new A6 is much more attractive and I cannot wait to see it a RS form.

I wonder how many kids have been sucked into that grill to never return, after getting lost. The grill is better suited to the A8 range, but it still looks great on the A6.

Even Rover with their V8 Rover 75 have done a similar thing with the grill at the Geneva motorshow.

Looks nice! Love those RS6 rims, I sure hope they appear on the next Gen. Rs6, I like the grey colour too...

Thank goodness that thing, concorde is it? Isn't available here..Lots of sympathy to our American brothers for having that thing driving around. Hideous.

Whatever one thinks of the old Chrysler 300, the new 300C is different -- and apparently much better. RWD with AWD on the way, it appears to offer very good levels of comfort and performance for its price range. There's a lot of Daimler in this Chrysler, similar to the Crossfire (reportedly 70% Benz).

Interestingly, altho the prior 300 was sleek and the new version has an entirely new boxy profile, the shape and design of both grilles do bear some resemblance to the new A6. But if anyone is going to yell "Copycat!" they can't point at Chrysler, who used this grille shape on their 300 series of the 1950s.

Scroll down to the 3rd photo for the best look at the new 300C's grille:

Hopefully, being an Audiphile doesn't mean one cannot admire progress among US brands.

Klint, LOL! Also, American car manufacturrers (like the current Administration) just don't get it. A co-worker bought a big Ford (I don't remember the model) last year. I rode in it about two months after he got it. Besides being ugly as sin, the thing rode like a complete POS - shake, rattle and roll. No wonder they're losing such market share. Not to mention that M-B seems to be sinking to the lowest common denominator with Chrysler.

Bauer,

I agree 100%. I see a standard A6, and it's a Yawn. IMO, the new A6 really conveys quality and affluence, just the message Audi wants to send.

I think the A6 along with the new A8 will allow Audi to make further inroads into the upscale markets, especially with BMW's design issues and if M-B quality issues continue. Along with strong profits, Audi's got to be feeling that the future looks bright.

When I see that grill, I want to throw a huge slab of steak on it and cook it to perfection. Bon appetit!

I really haven't been impressed by the design direction of ANY of the brands I would consider buying.

I'm going to have to think long and hard about what car or cars will replace my RS6 when the lease is up.
