Anyone heard of Jet Chip upgrade? Well, it's only $321USA.

Jet Chip Upgrade for RS6 here (http://216.109.67.253/integratedcatalog/accessory/AccProdDetail.asp?username=39597&remotesessionid=0&returnurl=http%3A%2F%2Fstore%2Eallperformanceparts %2Ecom%2Fadd%5Fitem2%2Ephp&salesphone=1%2D800%2D292%2D9957&gendesc=&vencode=&target=main&destzip=&blanketmargin=12&LocalSessionID=34099193)

Their website JetChip.com (http://www.jetchip.com/) does not mention anything about the RS6.

I'll second that! Blown turbos may be the biggest risk, if experience with prior turbo Audis holds for the RS6. Anyone know what replacing turbos would cost for an RS6?

The tip tranny may be at risk too, if torque produced by performance software (chip) exceeds what the tranny can handle. Anyone know the cost of an RS6 tranny?

And whatever those costs are, you gotta figure installation will be expensive too because ... well, put it this way: I have yet to hear of any significant fix for an RS6 that was simple to do. Even an oil change requires moving a suspension component!

Another thing to consider is the increased difficulty in swapping ECUs. With the earlier S4, for example, changing ECUs wasn't that difficult for owners who wanted to deceive a dealer by swapping back to factory ECU & giving the impression that they had not chipped. But for the RS6 there are security bolts etc. that make swapping harder -- and detection of swapping easier.

At least that's what I've read and heard. I never swapped ECU myself; chip installation on my S4 was done by a pro & I never swapped back to factory ECU.

Evolution Motor Sports just came out with a chip that puts 42 hp and 78 torque to the wheels. its the least expensive chip for the money you get. its $2000 US. you also have to get a chip for the Tip Transmission and that runs around 600. so for close to 400 hp to the wheels 2600 plus shipping is really nice. for the dyno tests you can look at giac.

Those are very good #s. Over 500HP/500LB FT is impressive to say the least for just a chip!

BTW, Welcome to the forum. One question, How does someone who's not even drinking age have a RS 6, G35 and a Jag to boot? I'm just wondering so next time around i can do things different!:D

well techinally i don't have anycars. i totaled a GTI last year. i helped my father restore the jag, the G35 is my mothers and "the beast" is my dads and will hopefully be mine when the lease runs out . I've been surrounded by exceptional cars since i was little and now i get a chance to drive them.
