I will enjoy seeing what they end up with in the World Challenge racing.

Thanks! But the M5 with 400 hp V8 was introduced in 1998 and is probably still a lot faster. But one should never blame anyone for trying.

That's certainly true about trying, Caddilac are a good sport for giving the sport sedan a try.

doesn't the CTS compete with the lieks of the S4 though, not the S6/RS6? 400bhp has topped the rivals in that market segment.

Good question! The Caddy brochure doesn't have weight or dimensions, so I'm not sure, but the interior seemed slightly smaller than my RS6 but bigger than my B5 S4.

Actually Car & Driver did a comparo with the M5 and M3 going head to head (to head?) with the Caddy. The CTS-V posted lap times identical to the M5 (FWIW).

As for the Speed GT Challenge i think it will definately be very interesting to see if the RS 6 can pull off a victory (will the rule makers making it increasingly difficult for those Beasts to develop their full HP potential (yet the Vipers and CTS-Vs will have over 500 HP:confused:  ).

Excellent, nice to see a fast caddy. Don't really like my neighbour's Caddy...

Talking about lap times, there's now a M3 CSL and a new M5 around the block ;) :bye2:
