Here are the production numbers of the RS6 :idea: till end of 2003:

01-06 2002 - 32
01-12 2002 - 2052
01-06 2003 - 2808
01-12 2003 - 4841

Total till end of 2003: 6893 :rs6kiss:

As a comparisson - the total production number of the :rs4addict reached 6030.

I don't know the numbers of the M5 or the E55, but i guess the :addict: remains quite exclusive.

They might build another 1000 this year - my guess - at the most. This would bring up the total production number to ~8000.

Thanks a lot for those figures!

The M5 was introduced in late 1998 and produced in a total of 20.500 pcs.

The first M5 was hand built between 1984 and 1987 in 2.100 pcs.
The second generation was built between 1988 and 1995 in 12.000 pcs.
Since the production of the third M5 was integrated in the normal 5-seires production in the Dingolfing-factory they manged to build so many more.

Thank you for the post. That is definately a low volume number. No, not Enzo or Carrera GT low, but very low for a "limited edition" 4 door sedan/wagon. I think last year ALONE there were close to that number of M5s sold just in the U.S.!!! (i think it was over 5000 units!) And as for the new E55 there will certainly be more than 10,000 in the U.S. before production ends.:cheers:

Thanks for these numbers. Once I was asking many times for that info on this forum, even some guys were anxious if I'm not an BMW spy or something :doh:

BTW: Is there any typing error or I don't get it - see times you listed 01-06 then 01-12 - did you mean 7-12 in the second line?

01-06 - first six months
01-12 - the production number for the whole year

There are gossips about 5-7 units of RS6 in Poland.
Nobody knows the exact number.
I gues most of them would be AVANTs.

So there may be one there but I doubt you will see it, too rare ;)

But you might see one of RS4s, there are much more of these.

They allocated 56 (I was told from Audi NZ) for New Zealand. 28 Avants and 28 Salon. I think Australia got less..not sure.

I think around 1200 units max made it to North America (including Canada). Value most commonly heard from most Audi folks, including dealers I visited.

What a way to revive a 2 year old post. Still good to hear that the RS6 is exclusive (seen about 2 here in Miami, and almost any car you can think of are on Miami roads). BTW, go portugal!!!!
