Not really recent, but it's newest one I could find on my phone. Bonus points if you can figure out why these two cars are related!

I'm guessing its the personal plates, millennium falcon on the RS. I can't tell on the BRz. Looks like SL4VE 1. Don't know what that is.

But, are those LMs on the RS? I have a set of 19x8.5 et32 waiting to go on mine.

I've been collecting parts and prepping the garage for the last month to put mine under the wrench, starting this weekend....:mech:

It's time for...
Turbo rebuilds (smoking when warm through right bank and leaking oil down outside of downpipe)
Cam chains and tensioner shoes, just because it's time...
Rear main seal unless by chance it's dripping from the heads (I doubt this, but we'll see when it's out)
If it is the rear main, I'll be upgrading the torque converter if I need to split the trans from engine
SAI delete
Bufkin pipe
General checkup...106k on the clock

Situated on my favorite new tool...should have bought these years ago..

Muggy- Nice man, I was thinking about getting those maxjacks as well, but being lucky enough to have a shop, I really don't have space constraints. For the cost, I can nearly get a two post.
I just finished my maintenance on my Rs, but the next go around I plan on pulling the motor and doing much of the same as you. I'm at 64k.

Slave 1 is Boba Fett's ship, so it was fun to find a Star Wars nerd parking buddy!

Yes, those are LM's, and they are exactly the same as your size:

I would agree...that black is so fine!

Some updated pics of mine....many of you on this forum know this scene.

Just about everything up top should be done and got the front axles out as well...need to deal with driveshaft, transmission stuff, motor mounts, and should be about ready to pull.

Time for...turbo rebuilds, cam chains/tensioners/seals, rear main seal, bufkin pipe, SAI delete, maybe torque converter....

She just returned to me this past Saturday. Journeyed from Indiana to 2Bennett Audimotive and back on Intercity Lines.
The main reason for the trip was to get the 2Bennett coilovers installed and the DRC definitively removed. While there I took advantage of 2Bennett’s expertise on some other problems that were found. The front brake rotors were shot and one of the calipers was leaking brake fluid. So I upgraded to the 2Bennett front brake system using replaceable full floating rotors on aluminum center hats. The rear brakes got new rotors and pads.

Since the suspension was basically off the car, this seemed like a good time to take advantage and get the Wagner intercoolers and carbon fiber ducting installed. They had been gathering dust in my garage waiting for an opportune time to get installed. In the course of the repairs a couple of oil leaks were found, identified, and fixed. One involved the combination engine oil and transmission fluid cooler. That was replaced with the 2Bennett Mocal setup. Similarly, the RS6 Plus accelerator, brake, and dead pedals that were gathering dust in my garage were installed.

Next was a healthy dose of the usual PM, consisting of timing belt, water pump, along with replacement idlers and tensioner, and crankshaft pulley bolts.

Finally, when I bought the car I had the best protective film put on the leading parts of the car. They did their job for the most part, but inevitably some paint was lost to small flying particles. So the old film was removed, blemishes addressed, followed by paint correction and full ceramic coating, and finally reapplication of protective film to 2020 standard.

And she’s back. Obviously there was some cost here, but for my DD mission I don’t see the replacement for my RS6 out there for less than $120k. So the plan is to see my way through to retirement In 4 years with the RS6 and then reassess the situation.

Hopefully at least some of these photos make it into this LONG post.

GregoryIndiana: I LOVE the ABT wheels!! So period correct, and classic!
I've got a set of Azev Type A's in 5x112, 18x8.5" waiting on a refinish and installation.

Thanks for the compliment on the wheels. I prefer the understated 5 spoke look but kept the stock wheels for the winter tires. I did the MTM ECU and TCU chips but I also loved the Abt wheels. Doubt they are anywhere to be found today.
