Big project ahead

THis guy on the mb forum has a big project ahead of him. Here is a photo of his E55 that he bought for 26,000 dollars.

Not bad, considering the passenger and engine compartments are largely intact. The costs of fixing it will mostly go into replacing the body panels, and maybe suspension replacement and electronic gizmos.

really not bad - as he has written in the post, he will have a 2003 E55 AMG with 1012 miles on it for about $50k. that's a real steal for me.

I don't know the original price, but he will have it for $50k LESS than a new one, he said. :)

Looks like he has some hours in the garage in front of him though. But dangit will he be a happy car owner once it's done! :mech:

Put that engine into a go-kart chassis, otherwise It's too labour intensive for such a rubbish car. (in corners+driver involvement mind you)
