Nice to see a review for exactly how the car makes you feel, so glad I still have mine, such an awesome ride.

Unfortunately winter has come early to the Colorado mountains so I put the RS to bed for the winter and got the 04 Allroad out with her new RS6 wood trim courtesy of Dhall and 4 new Blizzaks.

Wohoo! That trim was mint. Did you manage to get it on without too much trouble?

weather just getting perfect in the desert. Rode my mtn bike 2hrs today. Hard to believe we’re just 6-700 miles away and that much difference

going to look at a supercharged RS4 in the AM. Watch out peeps, I think I’ll drive my RS6 tomorrow as well.

Got rear ended nearly 2 months ago.. Hopefully I get my beast back next week. I'm in a stinking Toyota C-HR rental and it's abysmal...

Trim went in pretty easy. Armrest piece was the only tough one. The rest snapped right in. The right tools were the key.
May have to make a desert run if this winter is truly here. 3.5 degrees here this morning.

Going to drive mine the 35min to work for the first time in about 3yrs now that my manual conversion is finished. Too many other projects (HMMWV, S5, RS5, 944 Turbo, etc...). Thanks to Nubcake I think we're about there with the final tuning. Would have been done earlier by kind of my fault for not replacing the Turbo pressure sensing line on the back of the engine which necessitated another engine pull due to a leak. It is definitely faster with the manual. Maybe 100lbs weight saving but nubcakes tune is better than my previous Eurocharged and Revo prior to that by a long shot. Awesome guy to work with. Pulled out from the neighborhood the other day on a warmup run and into traffic doing 50~55mph, got on it and with a dry road I had all four tires spinning for a second (ESP off). Because of the DSG my RS5 (tuned engine (maybe 25~35bhp (catless)) & DSG tune is definitely faster 0-60mph with launch control but after that I think the RS6 would be hard to beat to 150+mph.

hahnmgh63,

Are you still running stock turbos or did I miss you upgrading to SRM hybrids?

Still running stock for the most part. They are rebuilt by Scroll with a few newer updates.

That s/c system looks pretty neat and factory looking. What kind of power gains is it giving out?

PES had a poor reputation back in the day...some issues.

Maybe from poor installs. This one was done at PES and is smooth as butter to 8250. Auqamist custom direct port water meth with 8 injectors ported into the intake runners means never having to do a carbon cleaning. Priceless

this car feels like a German DTM street car with a leather interior. Sounds like one too. Doh
