I know it's been asked before, but never "truly" answered...

Turbos, transmission, fueling aside, does anybody know the stock maximum output these engines can handle before needing to be opened up for pistons, rods, etc? I'd like to start a new project, but dont know if my 800hp goal will require an engine teardown.

What's the most you've made/heard of on an unopened engine?

800 is very realistic with appropriately sized turbos and E85.

E85 due to timing or...? 6766 on 93 octane is the plan as of now

Runs cooler, is generally safer, unless you run stupid high timing.

93 should be fine as well, as long as you watch knock. Also might want to upgrade cooling system, it runs stupid hot as is, doesn't help longevity.
Stock MAFs cap out around 730 crank, so plan accodingly.

Top mount 6766 sticking out of the hood to keep heat up top. HPX maf w/ 3" piping from turbo to throttle body.

All of this in a C4 S6 which has a larger engine bay, more room for larger pull fans. All of course matted to an 01e and I think a twin disk this time.

Keep an eye out for the build thread, which I'll be posting g as soon as the new owner picks up the RS6.

MRC got 778 without any internal engine modifications, I'm sure the Cosworth designed bottom end can take more.

I'm assuming that is 778 at the flywheel and not to the wheels?

Before I start to go pin for pin (Which i really, really don't wish to do if I don't have to) does anybody have the ME 7.1.1 for the C5 RS6? I know this guide exist, but obviously missing the Boost parameters, also don't know if the majority is the same (Although I'd think it would be) https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/701197-Audi-C5-A6-S6-4-2-V8-40V-ECU-Pin-Outs

This is going to be fun fun.
