FYI that shifter opening looks large to fit a manual. So I'd be skeptical if it's legit since the carbon was only RS6 and only an automatic. There's a chance it could have been modified for an MT....

Interesting, and shouldn't have a little divot on the front right side where it tucks under the ashtray? It could be from a manual A6 and converted to CF, but it doesn't look like a CF wrap. It also looks to have a bit of blue in the CF. In any case, it's an interesting piece, I'd like to know where it came from. In the picture, you can see the part number as 4B0 864 261 CE/CG. All the A6/S6/RS6 bezels seem to share the same core part number of "4B0 864 261", but the 2 or 4 letter suffix is specific to the finish and opening size. My original RS6 CF piece is 4B0 864 261 FD/FJ and my manual, woodgrain piece from a donor A6 is 4B0 864 261 BR. I searched the part number from the ebay piece and couldn't find hits. Did any of the other C5 cars come with carbon fiber? Maybe a manual S6 from Europe?
