I've had a vibration and a heat shield like noise in acceleration for the last couple of days. I got a chance to look under the car tonight and took this video. Car has 141k on it.

It seems shot to me. Anyone disagree?

If not, I found this thread that says our bearing is different than the A6/S6: http://www.rs6.com/archive/index.php/t-26781.html

But Europa parts is listing the 034 bearing as fitting the RS6. Has anyone tried this again?

Definitely looks shot! I don't have direct experience with the 034 part, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. For the 6-speed swap, I'm using a driveshaft from an A6, so it can't be that different.

So I'm back from holiday travels and finally got around to separating the driveshaft and switching out the bearing. One of the CV joints was dry so I was cleaning it out to replace the grease and one of the balls failed. Definitely need to replace the joint, but I'm not finding it anywhere online and ETKA doesn't even list it as a separate part since it's a "non-serviceable" driveshaft. The part numbers on the outer carrier are: "7153120184020 *GKN LOGO* <gkn logo=""> ITALY GKN61 030610 2C*VW LOGO**AUDI LOGO*<vw logo=""><audi logo="">".

Does anyone know of a source for these? Or am I shit outta luck and need to buy the whole driveshaft?</audi></vw></gkn>
