Best all options Vag-Com diagnostic tool

Looking at the Ross-Tech VCDS products for VAG vehicles. Just don't know what options to get. Not sure I want to spend $550 on pro series. Is the Hex-Net enthusiast just as good ?My RS6 has codes I can't see with OBD2. Like egt overheat sensors that aren't used. And I want to null them. Even though it throws no codes, it fails emissions. Tired of not dealing with it myself. Plus after doing timing belt, would like to see where cam degrees are. Thanks in advance
