Front bumper cover repair, what material is it made from???

Trying to plastic weld it. Cut a piece off a 2001 A6 wagon. Practiced fixing a crack and adding material. Worked great ! Easy ! What the hell is the RS6 bumper material? Like trying to weld pot metal! Seriously! Any information is welcome please! Not happy!!!

At the time of the repair, there was allegedly two bumper covers in some Audi warehouse stateside. I believe another member here picked one up and I wasn't ever able to locate the other. Hence the repair vs replace. After handing it off to the body shop it's a challenge to tell there was ever any damage without removing to inspect the backside.

Awesome Bethridg I'll look through all that for sure! Two of the side clip tangs were broken, and the aft of both sides are missing material and cracked. I bought the the to different style plastic repair kits. Worked great on all but this RS6 front bumper. After I get this figured out with you info I'll attempt to repair it all again. Thanks again!
