Body Control Unit

Hello all

I have been having a long text discussion with ebtahi98 who is a new RS6 owner. We have spoken in the past.

He is quite knowledgeable and has pointed me to the Body Control Unit being the possible cause of my electric glitches.

What's the group knowledge on this device? Where does it live in the car? (found that LOL, under driver side floor, nice spot I guess)

I am researching possible repair of the device once I can find it, removed and send it.

Anyone have a spare? Know a part number??

I am heading to Bentley Manual to try to find info.

There is nothing listed on Bentley about Body Control Module or Body Control Unit.

But there is a Central Control Unit J528. Is this the same thing?

From what I can figure out the Body Control Unit is the same as the Comfort Control Module and possibly the same as the Central Locking Module. It's quite confusing.

Part number might be 4B0 962 258 L

The one I have right here is 4b0962258M. I've got a couple other ones in storage that I can check for you too :)
