Not sure why but since the analog Onstar/Telematics system has been dead for years just pull back the passenger side carpet in the footwell and remove the Onstar module, also pull the plastic case surrounded by styrofoam as that is the Onstar battery which is dead and you don't want it to leak or explode someday.

Are we sure ours were analog? I would actually expect they were the first wave of digital but i could figure out the answer.

Keep an eye out for battery drain now.
I recall that the OnStar system was the source for this and pulling the plug on the module was the fix.
Maybe your'e taking on water and this is a symptom. Maybe inspect under the pass side carpet to look around?

It's a Christmas Miracle! Audi fixed the error with the charging system by sending the Elf on the Shelf to fix it while you slept!

The elf has been circulating around my house these past few days!
I'll check under the carpet and remove the module on the weekend.
