After seeing Dave's setup I really wanted to get a set of these wheels. I think that the thick spoke design really suits the wide body C5s. I initially wanted to have them done in Titan Grey but the smoked Chrome look is growing on me. I got this set from BKS-Tuning in Germany. Currently they are on as my winter setup with Pirelli SottoZero 3 winter tires.

yes these are OEM Audi RS6 Euro spec wheels... 19 x 9 ET35. Robert at BKS sourced them... Took him two attempts to get these. These look like they are powder coated smoked Chrome

Curious to learn what you paid, including shipping - can you share that?
Also, how was your experience with BKS?
I bought a part from BKS last year and was shipped something entirely different. To get refunded, I had to pay the shipping cost to return the part to BKS which, combined with the out going shipping cost, equaled the cost of the part I purchased. Zero effort was taken by BKS to address the unfairness of this transaction. Also, had to rely on Paypal's purchase resolution service to get BKS's acknowledgement that there was a problem.

My experience has been overall okay ... there have been delays in shipping and sometimes it is hard to get in touch with them... but they do eventually respond. I have bought a lot of stuff from them over the last 2 years and never had to ship anything back.

In terms of price it was $1600 plus shipping ( I don't remember what shipping was maybe around $200)

Thanks for the cost and shipping details. At that price, I assume the wheels were used?
As for getting them, did you just send BKS an email asking if they could source you a set? Curious to the process - thanks.

Yes used...don't think you can get them new anymore except for Hartmann replicas. Yes just sent them an email asking them to source one.

Have always liked the wide 5spoke rims. I have two sets of these too. 1 for summer 19x9 and one for winter 18x8.5. IMO they always look better on the darker color cars that are blue, black, and gray.

I got Pirelli Sottozero series 3 tires 255/35/19s. They appear stretched on these wheels exposing them to potholes. I think I should have gone with 265s. Thoughts?

8.5" wide = 255 tire
9" wide = 265 tire

isnt the stock size 255 even on the 19x9 wheel? I know the section widths may vary with brand slightly

Yes
fat 255 = Conti Extreme
narrow 255 = Michelin pss

My list was a reference of what is recognized as an appropriate size for the most part. There will be some exceptions.
That said, even with a half inich narrower, you shouldn't be experiencing problem. I've seen idiots run 225's on a 9" rim up here.....

when I say the 255 pss is narrow
its in relation to some other 255s
look at tread and section widths between brands
i run 255 pss on my 9s and they are fine
i also run 265s on 9.5s and they are almost too fat prompting cutting the nub off

Those are the guys going for the "stretched" look on purpose and in the process destroying their rims, tires, ride, suspension etc :) Lots of kids in Hondas and VWs go for that "look" here.

Thanks Dave... good info. I guess you could add the Pirelli SottoZero to the narrow 255 category. I am running 275 Continental Extreme Contacts on 9.5" rims for the summer. No rubbing on the nub but it does scrape the inner fender liner occasionally.

Yep
the conti extreme does tend to be a fatter tire across all sizes
the mich pss are case by case because so many sizes are fit to oem specs.
The 265/35 pss is a Porsche fitment and very fat. Esp compared to the 255/35

Dave are you running spacers on your car with the Euro 19s? They look tucked in a bit on my car with ET35. My summer OZs are ET26 I think.

10mm
fantastic fitment with no issues

Which ones are you running? H&R, ECS etc? Do they supply lug bolts?... Thanks
