I am trying to figure out what year the CCT part number changed to P

This is what I found in EKTA:

The 077109087C was used in A6/S6 1998 to 2001, and A8/S8 2000 to 2003.

The 077109087E was used in A6 2002 to 2004, A6/S6 1998 to 2004, A8/S8 2000 to 2007, RS6 2003-2004, phaeton etc. Latest date 2007 in Touareg.

The 077109087P 2002 to 2007 models.

So I am figuring that the latest part was in production some time after 2003/2004 and would be THE part you get in 2012 to replace one?

Is there a chance Audi would ship the older E part in 2012?

Anyone have access to such information for part production dates?

Thank you,

Mike

I'll dig up my old one's later if it helps. I would assume they would ship old ones, should be fine, as they may have been made when the car was made. Low demand for them also.

The dealer I am at today (having Q7 services, new tires too at 22k miles WTF GOD DAM IT Audicare does not cover TIRES DAM IT)

The parts guy looked at their records on that part and they did on in 2012 and it was with the new P part. He could not find info on the old part but said that if they were ordering the part, the newest part would only be sent to them and any prior part would not be used. Period. As I figured. I know the E part is probably fine but when the do a new part, they want to minimize their own risk on a part failure and thus would not use a superseded part.

I am going to call a few other dealerships to get them to dig into their records.

I have it now,

1/1/2007 was the date the "P" became the new part. HA!!!!!!!!!!

The ETKA site that we can look at for free does not have this information, the dealer did. :)

Made some calls....

Got this picture sent to me..

Print out from EKTA.
