I have done some research and before I order a kit, i wanted to know if a control arm kit for a A6 4.2 will fit on the 2003 RS6? Would save quite a bit of money

Some input, sounds like bushings are one of the differences. I wouldn't want to risk a weaker part keeping my car on the road and out of the ditch...get the Meyle HD.

Lower straight control arm has a stiffer bushing. That's it.
I'm running A6 ones, but I'm not a racer. Works fine for my driving style and I wasn't able to notice any difference. :)

What nubcake said. But then that is compared to OEM whereas there are a lot of different aftermarket brands out there. You can go with someone like 034 and get stiffer all around, go with 034's Spherical bushings, Meyle HD, Lemforder, or a lot of other cheaper brands. Top control arms wear out first.

I mixed and matched on FCP euros site and the price was about the same as most kits. Everything I read claims lack of longevity on all brands(or at least someone on the interwebs says so) whether it's 034, OEM, aftermarket, etc. I got meyle hd for lowers and something else for uppers. I just didn't want to screw around with getting the wrong part because I thought it would fit. I think the whole front end was $450 or so. It could have been $110 on eBay or $1200 plus for OE. I'm pretty happy I got the best I could and didn't overpay.

I have the 034 spherical upper kit. It's very nice.

I called on availability of their lower spherical kit, and they are not due to be in stock until September-October time frame!

Well....I have the upper and lower spherical kit. I uninstalled due to clunking which I'm sure was from the lower front arm that I believe would rock back and forth due to acceleration and braking. If you want to venture I'll sell the lowers for cheap, installed by 034, in arms w/less than 2~300 miles.

I have a new 034 Motorsport Density Line set in mine; along with the Koni dampers the car has a fairly harsh ride but it's very responsive!

Even though I just replaced all the front control arms about 15 months ago the control arms on the front passenger side only ( not the driver side ) are worn out again already. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4EXgDhj29k
Can someone please advise me the correct part #'s to replace the control arms referenced in the above video? Thanks!

Febi Bilstein parts reference a 8E0407506A and 8E0407510A which don't seem to directly cross over to the RS6 but rather the C5 4.2 A6. I've read stay away from Febi and go with Meyle. I personally have a full 034 density set on mine.
