Bit late but just watching it now. There is quite a bit of coverage of Idris Elba trying to break the land speed record at Pendine Sands. He starts with modifying an RS6 but finally goes to a Bentley with a W12 to get the job done. Some good footage of them ringing the bell of the Avant. Even put Nitrous on it to try and get it to 200mph in a shorter period of time. It was on the Discovery Channel. Have not seen anywhere they are replaying it. Should be on their site.

just watched this, couldnt help but laugh as the car had transmission problems!!:lovl:
he really wanted to do it in the Audi, it was an RS6 plus avant, rare car blah blah blah, bought it from a guy who said it do 200mph, :vhmmm: He had the interior stripped and put in a roll cage. it gave him confidence but the trans was slipping between 4th and 5th. They gave it another shot by adding nitrous but in the end he had to go for the big bentley, which had somewhere around 650bhp
The series was called idris elba no limits, and the RS6 is in episode 4 called land speed. i enjoyed it!!
