exhaust sleeves - leaky exhaust

Dumb question, do I need to lower the entire exhaust to replace the 4 sleeves, or do they slide out and drop between the gaps? I have a couple of leaks and ordered these from ECS.

There should be enough slack in the two pipes so you can move them opposite directions enough to get the sleeves (Band Clamps) out.

Wow pricey little buggers

i use a lite coating of muffler/exhaust putty inside the sleeves before clamping.

Never had a peep of a leak

No kidding. Do the coat the entire inside of the sleeve or just the exhaust joint?

Just the inside surface where the exhaust pipe slips in
