Respray/Door seal

So im getting my car resprayed and im being told that the RS6 door seal has to be replaced after removal. Is this correct? or can it be put back on. I feel like replacing that would be more expensive then its worth

Probably the felt upper seal? Cause there are two right? I am confusing my Cayenne and RS6 right now but they both have multiple seals with the Cayenne having more. I think the vulcanized rubber could be reused but not the felt/corner seals <--- my pure guess two cents.
