Since i first bought my rs6 it has been slamming into drive and a little in reverse. the car does have an ecu/tcu also has a level 10 tranny from what i know. I heard people are flushing the tranny fluid out and putting new fluid in. Is that gonna help me? Does anyone have this situation?

Nope, the 5HP24A is an engineering marvel only rivaled by the unbeatable stability of the original Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Years of trouble free reliability should be expected. Especially on a tuned RS6 with a "race tranny". /s

In all seriousness, you're trans is most likely on its last leg. Search is your friend, there are zillions of threads like this. Welcome to RS6 ownership. Sorry.

I had the car for 3 years bought it with 49k and now it just turned 51k. I just take it for shows it sits most of the time. It has been the same slam since I bought it nothing different.

Sounds like you bought a car with a bad transmission, Level 10 or otherwise, or the fluid has always been low. It isn't recommended to flush it, ever. This just loosens up crap, to be sent where it doesn't belong. Audi calls it "lifetime" fluid, so take that for what it's worth. First thing I would do is check the level. Maybe it's just low. Weird that after 3 years of driving a with a "bad" transmission, you post now? Why? Fortunately, you've only put 2000 miles on it in 3 years, so it's still probably fixable.

Ha, yes, with a new trans...well maybe not.

Tough to tell what the real issue is. Seems odd that it's only when sitting still right, shift into reverse or first. But not first to second?

Check fluid and top off as mentioned. Could be a cracked filter, valve body issue, or pressure, clutch, or seal issue inside the trans. Maybe the rebuild was never good. Maybe the VB pressure is just really high. I know that mine is increased, and I do get a "thump" into reverse on occasion, but that's it.

Top off with fluid, see how it goes. Then I'd open it up and replace the filter, see if it's cracked. At that time you could have the VB looked at, but not sure about getting that one fixed. The whole thing is a bit of quagmire once a trans starts acting like this...
