The RS6 sanctuary grows by one this week. Need to edit my sig

I sold my last Supra turbo this weekend....owned it 20 years.

And just added #4 RS6 tonite.

My doc must have changed my RX.

Forum member recently moved to Tucson and the oil coolant pipe decided to let go. After delibrations......and the dealer voicing potential engine pull labor rates. The decision was made to trade in the car for a newer more reliable car. $12000 spent in maint over the last year played a role in deliberations for sure. Colin waited for me to drive down yesterday and hand him the trade value for the car.

We can save this one for sure and a big thanks to Colin. Car is far too nice to let the dealer have it.

So there ya go. #4 is in the house

370 to the wheels back in the day.

Original driveline, factory paint, 70k miles, bolt ons HKS stuff and custom fuel system.

And I had a true wide band A/F gauge from day one of the build.

Oh yeah, I had a 94tt as well. My favorite until the first RS6

Thanks again, Dave! As much as I hate to see her go, I'm glad it's going to someone who loves and knows these cars in and out. I nearly cried driving it home from the dealership knowing it was the last drive but in the 6+ months I owned it, I put 11k+ miles on it and loved every one . A bonus: Dave lives an hour an hour away so hopefully I'll get to aid in the repair and (maybe) get to rip it around again!

The new one. It was not the Bufkin....I should have checked the car out myself.

It would have been done today. Now I have to reorder parts.

At 111k it was the second pump. We could see each step from the prev grease monkey as we followed the zip ties and screw clamps. Kinda comical really.

The Intake was a rats nest of lines to remove but Audi wanted to charge the prev owner 12+hrs of labor at $140hr.

A joke...we were there In 2hrs putzing around. Mind you, this was the same Audi dealer that used a Wix filter and non-505.01 oil on his last oil change. Idiots

As for the pump. Stupid design and coolant leaks past the shaft into the electronics side and shorts it out. Then it gets worse and spills into the valley.

Aux water pump can be a pain to pin point too. I used a q tip taped on a hanger and it came out pink. Coolant would drip through the valley right and splash off transmission housing. Rats nest had me concerned, even after doing same repair on my wife's c5 2.7, took to a local indy shop that also replaced the suction jet pump. ....$1,400 later

I found that the R&R of the intake manifold to swap out the SJP was a nominal 6-7 hours total and that included cleaning of other areas while I had things all apart. Even though I had my intake off to address the SJP, I didn't elect to do the ARP. Fingers crossed it holds out well for some time.

In my research, I found out that the ARP from the UrS4 is the same.

My engine was from a UK car, which didn't have any coolant afterrun functionality. Think I've got 1 or 2 of them on the shelf still. It not worth going used in this location, though, since it' so hard to get to to replace.

300 plus miles of pure driving pleasure later and not one drop of coolant. Now on to paint correction, general cleaning of under side, adjust exhaust fitment, new switches for the interior, clear bra and windshield tear off and finally a wheel refinish.
