I have been waiting to hear news on the next Gen RS5, but not much to be found! I did find references to the plan to use the 4.0 L twin turbo in that car. Probably be a neutered version of the S6/A8/S7 engine with less power, but certain great aftermarket tuning would follow.

this not going to happen.
200% sure its a V6 engine bi turbo coming most likely 3L... especially as we got the info from the S4 B9.... expect a reworked engine of that car for the RS4 B9 and RS5 B9
V8 is not getting renewed on A4-A5 cars....

heard from a US dealer that they got to see the RS5 at the new R8 product launch in europe. it was there in the full flesh and looked awesome according to him. i expect it to be the big debut in geneva for audi (hopefully). yes- he inferred bi turbo V6 with at least 450 hp.
