Well it seems my new PLX wont grab boost from the OBDII port. I thought the car had the ability to know its boost, maybe it does but the gauge cant see it. So I have to add on a boost module, no big deal. I just was curious as to the best place to grab that signal. I was initially thinking the bypass valves as its easy to get to but it looks like they have some solenoids in line on the vac line so I think they may not always have a clean signal to them. Any recommendations?

Tap in to the diverter valves.

What are the solenoids for on their vac lines? Thought that may have been a cut in signal if they are supposed to cut off vac to them.

FPR vac line. That's where I tapped for my boost gauge, seems to be pretty accurate when comparing with Vagcom. Just tee into the line.

I assume I have to pull the air box to see it. I know where it is on a 2.7 but never really looked at mine.

Yes, to get to the fuel pressure regulator just remove the air box and it's right on top, near the rear passenger corner of the intake manifold. Very easy access for tapping in a boost line.
