I want to buy Tilton Twin Disc Cerametallic 7.25" Clutch for my RS6 engine with 6speed 01E gearbox.

Is there anyone who uses Tilton on RS6 ?

Which flywheel should I have?
Fits this?

And then this clutch:

I don't think Tilton makes anything for Audi, although they do for sister company Lamborghini. Might be a custom application.

Might make for a interesting phone call to 034. Ken would know what the differences are between his flywheel and the 2.7T flywheel and/or the 0A3 flywheels from the B7 RS4.

I had a custom flywheel made by Aasco for my twin disc (FX850). I can get pics if you'd like. It is designed to work with Steve's kit. He facilitated it.

Also, looks like AMD tuning sells one too.

That looks like a new offering.. Wasn't an option when I bought mine. Would love to see how it compares to the Stage 3 I have installed currently.

Tempting but pricey. If you could sell the flywheel you've got then that would bring the price down a little. Also be interested to know what if any bell housing spacer it is used with.

If that is the correct flywheel on the picture, then it is missing the 60-2 trigger ?

And I would not buy "Clutch Master 850" because it couldn't handle the power in Milka's RS6.

And the 034 Tilton parts is much cheaper..

Here's the FX850 flywheel.

Might make for a interesting phone call to 034. Ken would know what the differences are between his flywheel and the 2.7T flywheel and/or the 0A3 flywheels from the B7 RS4.

My flywheels are all steel, btw. The first few were aluminum with the steel lining and they seemed to have a lot of gear chatter. The steel ones are around 5 pounds heavier (~22lbs I think) and the gear chatter is gone. My flywheels (2.7T compatible and twin disc) are designed for the slightly thicker adapter plate used in order to have the pedal feel in the stock location.

The difference between the B7 RS4 and the 2.7T flywheels (aside from the obvious 10 vs. 8 bolt crank) can be found with some searching. I think tat there is an overall outer diameter difference.

That's like saying you wouldn't buy a sandwich. There are many different types of sandwiches. Just because you didn't like tuna on rye doesn't mean chicken salad is no good.

Also, it's obvious you have never driven a car with a tilton. They are noisy and more like a lightswitch than a clutch. The 850 is much smoother.

I'm doing my swap in the rs6 currently and was wondering about clutches to use with steves kit, as well. I was gonna settle on the southbend stage3 endurance.... Any issues with that or recommendations??? Sorry sort of a thread jack...

I am running the southbend stage4 extreme. I will never buy another single disc pucked clutch again.

There is youtube videos from people complaining about the noise from "Clutch Master 850" so don't say CM is not noisy..
And I also found this:
I'm on my 2nd set of disc in two years. Both sets probably had about 1000 miles on em each before they were toast.
To be honest I'm looking to get away from this clutch if I can cause from my experience and others which I'll wait for them to chime in, it doesn't seem like this clutch handles the abuse I'm lookin to give it. It works great on the street. I really enjoy it. But im lookin to get into drag racing this season. So I want a reliable proven clutch that handles the abuse I will throw at it.
Seems like if you want a clutch to handle track and street abuse go with a Tilton or RPS triple.

And I don't like that Clutchmaster don't show any torque numbers or any numbers at all on the 850 ?
And they are very expensive compared to Tilton or Sachs.

But I'm also locking at Sachs RCS200 2-plate and with this clutch you can use organic discs and it will still handle the same Torque as Tilton = 830ft-lb = 1100Nm
And with organic discs It will be like driving a standard car on the streets.

But if that is not enough you can change to sinter discs and then can Sachs RCS200 handle 1215ft-lb = 1650Nm

Why not use the Sachs Twin Plate Clutch that Roland Gumpert put in his Audi powered supercar??

It says " house designed sintered metal clutch " and nothing else about it what I can find, So it is difficult to know which Sachs model they use.

Is there some better/bigger pictures of the flywheel?

And I wonder why they have so high spacer on the intake manifold?

Looks like a dry sump system, too. Mmmmm.

Looks like a dry sump system, too. Mmmmm.Yep. Those few precious mm to sit lower in the chassis for better handling.

The taller manifold configuration has something to do with modified intake runners/flaps if I recall correctly.

I found now this information about Gumpert Sachs clutch:

Twin plate clutch configuration (diameter 200 mm / 7.87" each)

So then it is Sachs RCS200 :0:

Here is a bigger better picture, click on it and it will be big.

It looks like they took away the water/oil cooler on the side of the engine, maybe because the dry sump system will take care of the temperature instead.
