There is no greater thrill I could imagine than driving my RS6 on the Nuremberg. Years playing it online and when i see the videos I feel as if I know just where to do what at every corner, good job Sony! At any rate this has probably been seen and posted here a million times but if you havent seen it and are a Nuremberg/RS6 fan then its not a bad way to kill 11 minutes. :)

Not sure how to embed here so i will just link it.

Drove the Nurburgring Nordschliefe last summer in a rented Toyota GT86 and loved it. The whole time I was in Germany I wished I had my RS6 with me, instead of a crappy rented hatchback. I got passed on the autobahn like I was standing still! I did see a C5 RS6 Avant in the Nurburgring parking lot.

I drove the Nurburgring back in '04 with a Ford Transit van, long before Jeremy Clarkston did. Also got to ride in the Ring Taxi with Sabine back in '06 or '07. If anyone is contemplating stopping by there, if you book a month or two out I think she still gives rides, although she's getting much more famous know than back then.

Oh I would love to go for a ride with her. Couldnt imagine a better pilot to be on that road with. Figured with Top Gear Germany and all the other shows she would be too busy.

http://www.rsrnurburg.com/product/hot-taxi-laps-with-sabine-schmitz Back in the day it was a M5 but now she's driving a Porsche and the price has quadrupled.

$565! Well as much as I like an M5 I bet the Porsche is way more fun. I would have way more fun in a GOOD rental car on a track day though. Would love to thrash a Cayman GT or better yet and more appropriate to my skill set, a Nissan GT-R. LOL

I do Ok I think on the track considering the amount of track time I have, at least I think so... but when you ride with someone like that who is really good it is scary and shocking at the same time. I've only rode with someone else close to like that once before.

The Euro has gotten more favorable from when I went; I would rent something more exotic if I were going this year. At the time I wanted the GT86 in part due to cost but also because I had its Subaru twin in my garage, so I could focus on learning the track, not learning the car AND the track.

I'm taking the new wife next fall, Oktoberfest, Frankfurt Autoshow, she'll just have to love it. Then on to Bavaria via Stuttgart and Ingolstadt of course.

I see many years ago rs6.com took on the ring. Seemed to have no issues passing the GT Porsches and many bikes.
