View Full Version : Gonna have wheels refinished, thinking about color change.

My RS6 wheels are looking a bit worse for wear. They all have curb rash and the paint has chips, some a bit large. So since its about $125 per wheel no matter color I am torn between stock color or the color of the hubcaps. I kinda think that the darker color would compliment the color of the car well and the brighter ring on the caps would tie in the grill and window trim. What do you all think?

I'm thinking the color No would work well...although a slightly darker gunmetal doesn't look the worst.
5mm spacers go a ways towards a nice flush look BTW, there are some good threads.

There is only one option - Meteor Grey.
It's a darker graphite with a good amount of silver flake. I did my winter wheels in it, and I can't believe how nice it looks (and how well it hides brake dust).

I prefer them in the color they came in, but gunmetal ain't too bad, either.

Do they still make the 19in RS6 reps? Their site only lists 18s and I couldn't find 19s anywhere when I was looking last year. http://hartmannwheels.com/audi-wheels

Don't like 19" tire cost. I always threw HRE 19" wheels on my Cobras and the tire cost killed me. I think 18 is perfect.
I am just going to have them refreshed and powder coated the factory color after I get this fuel tank crap handled.

They don't no. I liquidated a set of 19x9.5 with chrome finish c/w near new 255/35/19 Cooper's a few months ago for $800 skins as luck would have it.
