My insurance company , on renewal , has written a clause in the policy specifically excluding ALL insurance coverage for use of the car at any facility designed for racing. On investigation, they have interpreted this to mean all events, whether racing or not, including driver education, autocross, etc. whether or not it is a timed event or not.
Does anyone know if per diem insurance is available for track use? If not- this really puts a question in my mind regarding usage at the track.

We have the same problem in Sweden.

I suddenly realised I was tracking the car without insurance.

At that event an Mitsu EVO hit the wall pretty bad, but actually the insurance company paid the damages.

John....

may I ask which insurance company you are refering too? When I double checked last fall, State farm had no such exclusion.

I have heard All State will not cover any such events no matter if it is educational or not.

I spoke with my Farmers agent and he said that as long as it is educational and there is an instructor in the car that they will cover it.......lets hope it stays that way.
