View Full Version : I was warned to test banjo fittings at turbos before assembly but...

I'm not entirely sure how to do it. If my eyes are following these correctly, the are the coolant lines:

16598

If I were to pull these from the rubber tubes I should be able to cap one and pressurize the other? Then I could bubble test the banjo fittings at the turbos?

As for the oil lines, there is on coming in and the flange fitting off the bottom of the turbo that leads back to the oil pan. If I was able to pressurize the supply line somewhere, I'd essentially be pressurizing the entire crankcase. I've already put new sealant around the lower oil pan so I don't want to pull that, and I've pulled those return oil lines before at the oil pan. They can sometimes be an issue. Any insights?
