So got the tail lights, emblems and headlights done. Also did the exhaust tips and repainted the front emblem to match the trim. Pics do not do justice but think they came out pretty good. Next up is shocks, meth kit and still wanna upgrade to carbon fiber inside. Then hope nothing breaks and we are done. ;)

How did you do your headlights exactly? Bake the capsules at 350 until the glue holding them together melted? Looks pretty tits!

I've never understood the blacked out tail-light look, but to each his own - I want people to not run into the back of me, thus the reason I went with the brightest LED's I could find for my tails...

Headlights came out great! I'm with Other_Erik on the taillights; I've been behind cars with smoked taillights and you can't see their brake lights or signals hardly at all.

Tails would be better if they were a slightly dark glossy film tint instead of the flat black spray.(or find the hellas) I've been thinking about doing my headlights but in on the fence about it, i kinda like the amber with the blue... but i also have black volks.... so if i did the headlights i'd want to tint the windows.. I JUST DONT KNOW lol

The tail lights wouldn't pass inspection in my neck of the woods.

Yep just baked them in the oven for about 10 min at 250 degress. Cake and have done it many of times. Be forewarned though... on these cars... I wanted to paint the trim and the textured part of the lights as well but you CANNOT mask the primary lights as the reflective coating peels right off with tape. Will even rub off if you wipe it very hard at all. It is stupid fragile coating. Had to be a junk headlight and replace the reflector after that little nugget came to life. So the front section is really all you can paint.

As far as the tails. I certainly was wanting to make sure I did not cut down on the lights brightness much and is why I only put like 2 coats on them. You can easily see the red and yellow thru the coating even when off when you look at it from right angle. Obviously does cut down some light output but they are still pretty bright and can easily make them out even the colors. Car is rarely driven and even less at night. Was pretty easy to do as well but actually redid them as I thought they were too dark the first time. Big hassle was all the clearcoating, wet sanding and polishing to get them like glass and to closer match the center trunk trim piece.

Hella tails are dot

The lens allows all the light to shine thru

They look smoke in the rest of the lens

Hard to explain until you see in person

I have 3 sets

Hella tails are dotBadda bing! Both rides here have Hella and they pass inspection. I would never pass inspection with painted tails.

I had considered doing the lightest tint available on the taillights just to dull the red down a little, seeing this makes me want to leave them stock.

As stated above; a) they'd never pass here, and b) Nobody will see you stopping...you've just made them not work.

To each their own. No inspection here and the lights are plenty bright. Below are a few pics. Taillight, turn signal and brake light. 165541655616558
