How's it functioning?
Does it have to be unplugged, if you want to use Ross-Tech cable for diagnostics?

Yes it is plugged into The OBDII port through a control box ( all stashed in the fuse panel). You will need to unplug it for the Ross-Tech. There is also an analog boost tap for the RS6 though, you you can still get boost readings through that.
I opted to get just the gauge so we had to remove the slats on my vent to install.

I guess I don't understand about what you mean about removing the slats? I installed mine a couple of months ago and didn't have to remove any slats. I also got the analog Boost sending unit and notice that the ECU doesn't quite match up with it? Maybe the Boost tap location, OEM from the sensor on the Intake and I tapped into the manifold? A Analog Boost gauge is definitely better for watching Boost compared to a digital readout but there are a lot of nice functions. Not sure I would buy it again though for the price.
Lately I've been monitoring my engine temps from the P3. Sometimes it heats up and reads right away and sometimes there is a big delay (Temp sensor?). I replaced the temp sensor a few years ago just because and I may do it again to see how the new one reads since they're cheap I have a couple new ones laying around as my tt uses the same. I've noticed it takes at least 10minutes after the car temp gauge reads normal until the Coolant temp reaches around 200'F. Sometimes the car gauge reads normal when the Coolant temp only reads 80'F. I've confirmed this against Vagcom too so the P3 is reading the temp Ok, but not sure if the ECU changes the signal, had heard in the past that the Instrument cluster smooths and adjusts the gauge.

I will check the other readings and see if they are laggy. The analog boost tap is more accurate apparently. You must have bought the digital gauge already installed in the vent? I only bought the gauge hence we had to remove the bottom 2 slats on my existing vent to install it. How else would you install it? Could you send me a pic?

Alright, I get it. I forgot you could buy it separately. I did buy it assembled, figured I could always go back to OEM.
I have this gauge in my B7 RS4 and really like it. Since buying the RS6 the P3 has been on my "to buy" list. Next weekend while at SOWO I may pick it up from P3 like I did last year for me RS4.
