I have a flashed ecu that I wish to experiment between cars.

Can anyone provide direction to delete the immob in the C5 RS6 ecu?

Agreed, I'm picking up an extra ECU and was going to flash with another tune for kicks.

You do not need to delete the immobilizer to use another ecu, and I am almost sure that it is not possible even if you wanted to. If you can find out the pin for you cars immobilizer, your secondary ECU can then be programmed with vagcom to match your vin and work with your car. I have done it just recently and have two ECU's, each with a different tune on it. Two ways to find the pin is to either go to your local audi dealer and have them look it up for you for a fee or if you get the vag k+can commander software, it will tell you what it is. The instrument cluster and the ECU both share the same PIN so finding the PIN from either source is all you need to do.

Can you confirm the vag process?

It is a very simple process if you have your PIN number. Go to this website which explains it step by step.

Thanks do you have a link to a step by step for swapping in a used instrument cluster? I just picked up a MPH cluster which I want to swap for my KPH one, TIA

You can delete the immobilizer check but it's a little involved on the ME7.1.1.

Im working on a plan to obtain the pin number.

Once I have the pin and change the ecu....do I need to recode the keys?

If you find out the pin for your car, it is very easy in vagcom to link it to your car but you will also need the pin for the donor unit so you can login to it to change it.
