We've seen the car and its tacky exhaust before, but had to post again for the seats.

Word is these Sportsters are WAY more comfortable than standard euro C5 Recaros.

Is there height adjust?

Gawd those are sexy seats...is that wired? Too bad there a lot of coin.

I think all the Recaro seats are height adjustable, given the bases their put on.

The seats do look sexy and I am jealous of the plate. I wish we could have those in FL.

While I can't disagree on how the seats look and feel, they are out of place in this installation. This is a 4dr sedan and having seats in the front that don't well match those in the rear (or vice versa) is a hodgepodge. Two seater car - no problem. Four seater car - problem.

The chap on rs246.com has both stock c5 recaro's and these recaro sportsters in his other c5. Says sportsters are way more comfortable. Of course we have our stock big squish seats, possibly made by recaro, but comfy none the less.

If anyone knows of a lower mile drivers seat in black, stock US, I'll take it. 50k or less ideally, perfectly clean please.

It helps to put these in the back.

If I could ever score a black rs6 as my second one, this would be a lovely interior...

I'd like to score a set of B6/7 S4 Recaros or maybe even C6 RS6 Recaros. Only gripe with the Sportsters is that they're manual adjustment; seems silly in a car with power everything.

Seats.................. I want them but they are low on my list of mods.

I have to agree. Those seats look out of place. Now that last interior looks good.

After going back and forth on the various seat upgrades available I decided to go with some euro Recaro rs6 seats which just arrived today after waiting about 2 weeks and dealing with customs, which actually was not as difficult as is anticipated. I have the back seats in and must say it does improve the look of the car and are more comfortable. It am going to tackle the front seats this weekend. If anyone is looking for silver Napa audi rs6 seats for their rs6 or to upgrade their c5 body car, I will obvious have a set to look at getting rid off since I am removing them.

Very nice...jealous...please post pics when done. Total cost? Can you confirm that when stock seat is removed, gear assembly that control height/forward/back is attached? Looking for very good condition stock black seat.

They ended up being around 2,500 which included front and rear seats, door cards, and seat belts, along with shipping by air delivered to my house.

That is less than I thought it would be.

A set of seats front and rear along with door cards is a nominal 750-900 GBP. Depending on what country you live and how well it fares against the strong pound, depends on how much it will set you back. The Canadian Dollar has dropped 20 points in the past few months which would impact the purchase for me by as much as $500-600.... I'm going to hold out and simply import a 2002 RS6 Avant in another 1.5 years....

One other thing I wanted to ask everyone is if you look at the picture below of my euro RS6 recaros, they have these connectors but the US seats do not. What are those connectors for?

Personally I think the original looks better and is more comfortable.

You're wrong:) Just kidding, each to their own. When did you try them out, impressions? Stocks are a bit soft and allow a bit too much movement for my taste.

Here are the pictures of the before US Recaro RS6 and after Euro Recaro Rs6 seats. I am very pleased with the look and feel. The euro front seats make you feel more secured when sitting in them.

How did you deal with the seat coding to deal with the airbag light?

mbagge01
February 28th, 2015, 21:42
After comparing the wiring of both seats, I found out that the reason people get the airbag light is that it has to do with the euro seats having seat belt buckles that do not have the sensor on them. if you look at the bottom of the US seat belt holder, you will see two green wires that come off it and go to the red connector underneath the seat, which are not there in the euro seats. This is the code I got when putting my passenger seat in.

00592 - Seat Belt Switch; Passenger (E25)
010 - Open or Short to Plus - MIL ON

I am going to get some US seat belt connectors (part numbers are listed on my current seat belt holders) that have the wires and use audi repair wires to put them in their respective slots on the red connector. This should then get rid of the airbag light. I could just transfer over the seat belt holders on my current seats but i want to sell them so I will keep them on.

I can confirm that if you swap your belt tensioners from your seats to the euro recaros and put the wires in their respective place on the red connector, no airbag light. The passengers side has two green wires and the drivers side has two green and two black wires coming from the belt tensioner

In my above posts , I mean the seat belt receiver on the seat, not tensioner.
